Armrest

The armrest is a relatively new concept and is beneficial for several reasons. 

​

1) Improved comfort. The rounded profile of the amrest makes playing more enjoyable as it removes the player's arm from the sharp edge of the instrument.

​

2) Improved tone and volume. The armrest prevents the player's arm from touching the soundboard so it is free to vibrate without inhibition.

​

3) Protects the finish. It eliminates wear caused by sweat and contaminants from the player's arm.

 

The armrest is made from the same wood as the back and sides and adds an elegant touch to the finished instrument. The armrest is attached using very strong rare earth magnets and is easily removable for placement in a case or on another instrument.
